Where are your sofas made?

All Marivelle sofas are fully handmade in our factory located in Shun De District, Foshan, Guangzhou, China. This region is one of the world’s largest and most established furniture manufacturing hubs.

Our craftsmen specialise in producing modular sofas designed for comfort, durability and modern living.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes. Our showroom is available by appointment only.

We do not accept walk-ins because we prefer to provide dedicated consultation for every customer.

Please reach out to us and book your visit at least one day in advance.

Customisation

Can I customise the sofa?

Yes. Customisation is free of charge.

You may customise the sofa length (from armrest to armrest), the upholstery material and the colour.

Other structural elements such as the design, mechanism and internal structure remain fixed to ensure safety and durability.

Will the colour look exactly like the photos?

Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions, camera angles, screen displays and photography settings.

For the most accurate colour reference, we recommend ordering a physical upholstery swatch kit.

Can I order fabric samples?

Yes. We offer upholstery swatch kits so you can see and feel the materials before purchasing.

The swatch kit costs $100 for each upholstery and takes around 7 to 14 days to arrive. Shipping by air, tracking link will be provided. Taxes and duties not covered.

The total amount paid for swatch kit will be fully refunded when you purchase a sofa.

Upholstery Options

What upholstery materials do you offer?

We currently offer four upholstery options:

• chenille fabric
• microfibre fabric
• bouclé fabric
• eco genuine leather

Each material suits different lifestyles and maintenance preferences.

What is chenille fabric?

Chenille is a soft textured fabric known for its luxurious and elegant appearance. It adds a rich look to living spaces and works well in design-focused interiors.

Chenille is not scratch resistant, so it may not be ideal for homes with pets.

The textured surface may require regular cleaning as it can trap dust.

What is microfibre fabric?

Microfibre is a tightly woven synthetic fabric designed for durability and practicality.

It is pet friendly, scratch resistant and suitable for homes with pets or children.

Microfibre is mildly water resistant. Liquids usually begin absorbing only after sitting on the surface for more than five seconds, allowing time to wipe spills.

It is also one of the easiest fabrics to maintain.

What is bouclé fabric?

Bouclé is a looped textured fabric commonly used in designer furniture.

It creates a modern and aesthetic look but requires more careful maintenance as dust may get trapped within the loops.

Bouclé is not recommended for homes with pets because claws may catch on the loops.

What is eco genuine leather?

Eco genuine leather is a blend of genuine leather and synthetic materials designed to improve durability and maintenance.

It is scratch resistant, easy to clean and suitable for homes with pets.

It offers the luxurious look of leather while being easier to maintain for daily use.

Production

How long does production take?

Our sofas are made to order. Production typically takes around 30 days.

Each sofa is handmade individually after the order is confirmed.

Can I check my sofa before it ships?

Yes. Once production is completed, we will send photos and videos of the sofa for your review before shipment.

Packaging

How are the sofas packed?

Each sofa module is packed inside a customised wooden crate to protect the sofa during international shipping.

Each wooden crate weighs approximately 20kg.

Are the sofas modular?

Yes. All sofas come in modular sections so they are easier to move, transport and install.

Each module is packed individually in its own crate.

How heavy are the sofa modules?

Each module usually weighs around 60 to 80kg depending on the size.

Including packaging, each crate may weigh over 100kg.

Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost?

We offer a flat rate shipping fee of $100. 

This means the shipping cost is $100 regardless of how many sofa pieces you purchase.

Do I need to pay import tax or duties?

No. All import taxes and duties are included in the shipping cost.

Customers will not need to pay additional customs charges upon delivery.

Which countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to over 50 countries.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping usually takes around 4 to 6 weeks by sea.

Delays may occasionally occur due to weather conditions, shipping schedules or customs procedures.

Who handles your shipping?

We mainly work with Sea Whale Logistics, a logistics company experienced in exporting furniture from China.

Will I receive shipping updates?

Yes. Customers will receive a dedicated tracking link and weekly updates from our customer service team from the date the order is placed.

Where do you deliver to?

Delivery is ground floor only. 

In some cases, the courier may not unload the crates from the truck.

Customers should prepare manpower or moving equipment to move the sofa when it arrives.

Do you offer white glove delivery?

We currently do not offer white glove delivery services.

Ready Stock

Do you have ready stock sofas?

Yes. Occasionally we have ready stock sofas available.

These can usually be dispatched within 1 to 2 days depending on the location of the inventory.

Availability changes frequently, so customers are encouraged to reach out to our team for advice.

Installation

Does the sofa require assembly?

Yes. Basic self assembly is required.

How do I install the sofa?

Installation is simple.

Remove the modules from the crates, connect the wires underneath the sofa and plug the sofa into a wall socket.

Reach out to us for instruction. We'll assist you through step by step.

How many people are needed for installation?

We recommend 2-3 people to safely carry and install the sofa modules.

What is included with the sofa?

Each sofa includes two pillows, a remote controller and assembly instructions.

Power Requirements

Does the sofa require electricity?

Yes. The sofa includes a motorised reclining system that requires electricity.

Will the sofa work in my country?

Yes. The sofa supports 110V to 220V electrical systems which are compatible with most countries.

Will the plug work in my country?

Yes. We customise the power plug according to the socket type used in your country.

Does the remote controller require electricity?

The remote controller runs on batteries.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments through PayPal and bank transfer.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. We require a 50% deposit to begin production.

When do I pay the remaining balance?

The 50% remaining balance must be paid before shipment.

Once the balance is cleared, we will only arrange dispatch.

Returns & Warranty

Do you accept returns?

Yes. We offer 30 day returns.

The sofa must be new, unused and in its original packaging.
